Terms & Conditions

PAYMENTS


Payment in full for any CDs, publications, booklets or any other merchandise sold by The Parent Practice is required prior to the dispatch of the goods.


Payment for Workshops is required in full in advance to secure the places booked. Any places booked but not paid for either over the phone or by cheque within a reasonable period maybe lost.


Payment for Private Consultations (Parent Sessions, Family Sessions and Home Visits) is due at the time of booking or as soon as the session is confirmed.


Payment for any course is required in full before the start of the course unless agreed otherwise and will be requested either at the time the booking is made or when a place on a given course is confirmed. Payment for friends booking together must be made at the same time to secure any friends discount. Bookings taking advantage of any early booking discount or other offers must be paid in full prior to the lapse of any offer to secure the said discount.


Acceptable forms of payment. We accept cash, personal cheques, debit cards, Visa and Mastercard or internet transfers. Credit Card payments can be taken over the phone.


REFUNDS:

In the event that any merchandise is faulty in any way a full refund will be offered by The Parent Practice. The Parent Practice reserves the right to request the return of any faulty goods prior to a refund being offered.

The Parent Practice also offers refunds on any course or workshop booking as per the policy below:


CANCELLATION:

1. COURSES CANCELLED BY THE PARENT PRACTICE.

In the event that we have to cancel a session The Parent Practice will endeavour to give a minimum of 48 hours notice and the Client will be entitled to a full refund or if preferred by the client any payments made may be credited towards further sessions.


2. COURSES CANCELLED BY THE CLIENT.


A. Workshops.

For cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled start of the event the client will receive a full refund or any payments made may be credit towards future sessions. For cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the start of the workshop no refunds are available and any money paid will not be available as a credit.


B. Cancellation of a course.


One or more sessions.


We would ask all clients to inform us in the event that they cannot make one of the sessions even if this is on the day of the session itself. When a client has informed us that a session will be missed we will advise the client of any alternative dates available to complete the missed session. Generally catch-up classes can be offered at no extra charge but if the only available catch-up class is after the end of a client's course we reserve the right to charge £50 per session to make the catch-up place available.


In the event that a session is missed without prior notification we may not be able to offer the client alternative dates and any catch-up classes. If we can offer a catch-up class it will be on the same basis as above.


Whole Course.


Prior to the Start of the Course.


48 hours notification is required in the event that a client wishes to cancel a booking on a course. A full refund will then be made or a credit towards another service if requested. In the event that less than 48 hours notification is given The Parent Practice reserve the right to deduct from any repayment/credit a £50  admin charges occurred in preparing for the persons attendance on the course.


After Commencement


If after the commencement of the course the client subsequently cancels the remainder of the course the Parent Practice will offer the client a credit towards any other courses/workshops or session(s) on the following basis. The credited amount will be the amount originally paid less the cost of any consultation and classes attended. In addition The Parent Practice will deduct the cost of any classes missed without notification and an admin charge to cover the cost of any notes/handouts.


C. Private Consultations.


If clients are unable to attend we ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice of cancellation. Given this notice a full refund/credit will be made. In the event that less than 24 hours notice is given The Parent Practice reserves the right to withhold up to 50% of the payment made to cover our costs.


D. School Talks


1. Talks hosted a school where parents are paying directly.


Cancellation of a talk due to insufficient numbers. At the time of booking any school talk a target number of participants will be agreed. In the event it becomes clear that the number of participants attending is likely to fall below the minimum number The Parent Practice reserves the right to cancel or postpone the talk and the school. The Parent Practice undertakes to keep the school fully informed about this possibility prior to any final decision.


We request 48 hours notice of any cancellation by a parents. Cancellations less than 48 hours prior to the start of the talk would not qualify for a refund.


2. Talks hosted and being paid for the school.
Where a school is paying The Parent Practice directly for a talk (notwithstanding the fact that the school in turn may be charging parents) we request 28 days notice of cancellation by the School for a full refund. In the event that an event is cancelled with less than 28 days notice The Parent Practice reserve the right to withhold up to 50% of any fee paid. Cancellation with less than 14 days notice will result in the loss of all fees paid.

If the event is cancelled by the Parent Practice all payments received will be refunded.


PROGRAMME ALTERATION


The Parent Practice reserve the right to time modify the contents of classes from time to time as we introduce new ideas into the courses.
The Parent Practice is also committed to implementing an effective programme for each family. Occasionally, this may result in us recommending an alteration to the agreed programme. This may require an increase of fees. The alteration of the programme will not take place without the agreement of the client but The Parent Practice reserves the right to cancel the agreed unaltered programme if we feel that the clients’ needs will not be best served by it. In these circumstances the above terms relating to cancellations and refunds will apply.

 

DAMAGE

Any damage caused by a client or the child of a client or cleaning required as a result of a client’s actions or the actions of a client’s child to the property of The Parent Practice or the property of any third party while on the premises of The Parent Practice will be charged at full cost to the client.

 

LIABILITY

The Parent Practice accepts no responsibility for the possessions of clients or their children brought on to the premises.
